Venetian Courtyard

At the beginning of the seventeenth century the Marcello rich family coming from Venice amplified the inner Venetian courtyard with a central stone well creating a harmonic and pleasant space – similar to a so-called campiello (a Venetian square) – that was often used for concerts and performances. On the boundary wall a Baroque orchestra with putti and instruments delights the visitor.
On the southern side of the court the architect Andrea Tirali built up the private family chapel in the early eighteenth century.
